Understanding Your Bill
After receiving care, you will receive a bill for hospital services such as inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostics, or emergency treatment. You may also receive separate bills from independent providers involved in your care (e.g., emergency room physicians, anesthesiologists, or surgeons).

West Ascension Parish Hospital complies with the Federal No Surprises Act and honors all commercial insurance benefits for emergency services, ensuring you are protected from unexpected medical bills.
For non-emergency services, we accept most major insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid. Please bring your insurance information with you at the time of service. Our team will work directly with your insurance carrier to file claims and determine coverage.
Financial Assistance

West Ascension Parish Hospital is an approved Medicaid Application Assistance Center. If you need help applying for Louisiana Medicaid, our trained staff can assist you with the application process on site and at no cost.
