Price Transparency
Hospital price transparency is a regulation designed to give patients insight into the costs of medical services before receiving care. Established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in January 2021, the rule mandates that hospitals make their pricing information accessible online.
The goal of this transparency is to empower you to make informed healthcare decisions. With access to pricing details upfront, you can compare costs between hospitals, avoid surprise bills, and select a provider that aligns with your financial needs.
At West Ascension Parish Hospital, we are committed to providing clear and transparent information about our billing practices and insurance policies. Understanding your healthcare costs is important, and we strive to make this process as straightforward as possible. In compliance with federal regulations, we offer comprehensive price transparency for all our services, ensuring that you have access to detailed information about our standard charges. Whether it’s understanding your bill, navigating insurance coverage, or exploring financial assistance options, our dedicated team is here to help you every step of the way.
